SIAMS

At Benhall, we are proud of our Christian heritage and the distinctive nature which this creates within our caring community.

As part of our Christian heritage we aim to consistently meet Jesus’ promise of ‘life in all its fullness’ which is at the heart of the Church of England’s Vision for Education.

In order to evaluate the effect that the Christian ethos of the school has on the school community, all Church of England dioceses use the National Society's schedule for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAMS).

The Evaluation Schedule (from September 2023) has three key questions:

1. Who are we as a school?

2. What are we doing here?

3. How, then, shall we live and learn together?

This is investigated through 7 inspection strands which all provide evidence for the main inspection question.

Having evaluated the evidence made available, the inspector will award the school one of the two following judgements:

J1 - Through its vision and practice, the school is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish.

J2 - The school’s vision and practice are not enabling it to fully live up to its foundation as a Church school. This is for the following reason/s.

Our last inspection was undertaken in March 2019. You can read the full inspection report below as well as the RE policy and Collective Worship policy.
